Acrylic nails are preferred specifically for their strength. As long as you take care of them properly, you’ll find that they last a long time. This includes ensuring that the nail stays dry – clearly, you can’t avoid all types of water, but be sure they’re thoroughly dried after you shower or wash your hands, et cetera. You’ll also want to protect your nails from harsh chemicals when you’re cleaning by wearing rubber gloves.
There are some cons to the use of acrylic nails. As with the application of any kind of fake nails, they can damage your real nails. Unlike its counterpart, gel nails, acrylic can be more harshly damaging over the long term. Acrylic will also tend to look more “fake” than what gel nails might look. However, at the end of it all, acrylic nails do tend to be cheaper than gel nails. And as long as they are applied properly, they can look just as good as the gel nails. What matters most is the client feeling better about themselves and their satisfaction with the work done.
